I am an elaborate ordeal
A bitter pill to swallow
And you devour me whole
Without thought or judgment
When I serve you my pain
Unfiltered and raw
You do not question my afflictions
You do not ask me to fix my ache
Instead you wear it on your head
Like a solemn crown
And you pin it to your chest
Like an ornament
You make sorrow look beautiful
In glorious ways
Like it is something sweet
Something supremely sublime
And when you wrap it around you
Without fear without hesitation
I can dream of being whole again.

Oh I can only hope. But it’s good to post a poem after so long. See you around Larry.
