They who have lived
so carefully all their lives
will never know what it feels like
to have summer running wild
in your blood
and they will never speak
the language of the wildflowers
blooming in your soul.
To the prejudiced eye
a feral heart
is something far from exquisite
and the wondrous call of chaos
is just another cry to be tamed.
So donβt surrender your reins
to the ignorant
darling
I know freedom too can be
a heavy burden to carry
but in the end it will be
all that makes you beautiful.

It’s something I wrote a while back, it was titled ‘The Untaming Of The Shrew’ on my laptop. Thought that would be too dramatic for a comeback. π Always good to read you, WC.

My wildness years did much to make me a poet, and strangely enough, the “un-wild years contributed. Now I’m old enough to be wild again!

I think the un-wild time is necessary, how else would we appreciate the wild. Thank you for stopping by, I’ll be sure to check out more of your writing. π

Sure. Your poetries are like late recitals in company of whiskey on the rocks.
