Beware of a jilted dream.
Innocent she seems.
At first.
Insouciant.
Indifferent,
To rejection.
But she smoulders and simmers,
In the shadows of the heart.
Surreptitiously.
Lingering maliciously.
Dreaming of sweet revenge
As she slowly rots inside,
Chafing flesh,
Corrupting tissue.
Corroding.
Eroding.
Her vengeance only grows.
She begins to hound
The soul.
With vicious content
And no remorse.
Sprawling in malignancy.
Basking in spiteful glee.
Waiting
To be resurrected
In cruel anticipation.

Yes, a revenant of a dream! I feel when you try to kill a cherished dream, it seems insignificant at first, until it comes back to haunt you. I think no one can truly kill their desires/dreams. We learn to suppress and ignore them but that’s something that’s bound to backfire. This was what was on my mind when I began this piece. I’m glad you could sense the darkness I was trying to convey. And thank you 🙂

Oh its wonderful to be back home. I’m being smothered in love, in a good way though. And it feels great to laze around and do nothing.
